Alice Springs Climate/Weather

Desert climate, average temperatures range from approximately 22 degrees Celsius (72 degrees Fahrenheit) in winter to 35 degrees Celsius (95 degrees Fahrenheit) in summer.

Nights and mornings during winter can be very cool and guests should pack appropriate warm clothing.

Daytime temperatures during summer can exceed 40 degrees Celsius (104 degrees Fahrenheit). Guests should ensure they pack sunscreen and a hat.

Air

Alice Springs Airport is a domestic airport and is located 15 kilometres to the south of the township of Alice Springs, the main entry point to Central Australia.

You can fly daily from major cities within Australia including Adelaide, Brisbane, Broome, Cairns, Darwin, Perth, Melbourne, Sydney and many Territory destinations such as Ayers Rock.

International travellers will need to fly into one of Australia's international airports then hop on a connecting domestic flight to Alice Springs. Qantas operates regular services between major capitals and Alice Spring Airport. Virgin Blue operates a service between Adelaide and Alice Springs.


Airport Transfers

Alice Springs Resort is situated approximately 15 kilometres from the airport. There are 3 transfer options to get you to the resort. A private charter, taxi service, or a bus shuttle service.

There is no better way to explore Central Australia then at your own pace.


Coach Transfers

Coach transfers are available and operate services between Alice Springs, Kings Canyon, and Uluru (Ayers Rock). Travel by luxury air-conditioned coach through beautiful desert landscapes and interesting scenery.
