SAILAWAY PORT DOUGLAS invites you to enjoy "a day to remember" with a reef and island sail for snorkelling and exploring Low Isles, an unspoilt coral cay on Australia's Great Barrier Reef. With only 1 of 4 reef tour licenses to moor at Low Isles there is limited access.

With small numbers of guests (max 33 guests) & personal attention from our friendly & helpful crew, SAILAWAY PORT DOUGLAS ensures your enjoyment on your snorkelling and reef tour to Low Isles.

a full day at Low Isle on the reef.

  • 8:30am departure from the marina
  • 10:00am early arrival at the sheltered blue lagoon
  • Snorkelling briefing on the front deck of Sailaway
  • Transfer to the island on our tender
  • Guided snorkel tour with marine biologist
  • Encounter turtles over coral gardens
  • View an incredible variety of fish and coral
  • Island exploration to explore it's environment and learn about it's history
  • Delicious tropical buffet lunch back on board Sailaway
  • Free time for snorkelling from the back deck after lunch viewing the many species of coral and fish life
  • Informative glass bottom boat tour with the skipper viewing coral gardens
  • Afternoon tea and delicious homemade cakes
  • Then a relaxed sail back to Port Douglas soaking up the incredible views
  • 4:00pm arrival at the Marina Mirage


A SNORKELLING PARADISE
The reef around Low Isles comprises of 150 species of hard corals and is dominated by 15 species of soft corals. Living amongst the corals in the blue lagoon are a large variety of reef fish including angelfish, damselfish, anemones, giant trevally, sweetlip, fusiliers and many green turtles are sighted daily.
