You do not need to be an experienced paddler as knowledgeable guides provide all the training you require and accompany you on your paddling expedition. Explore the secrets of forest-fringed, golden-sand bays, sculpted granite headlands and kayak with the seals on most trips.
Your Guide will design each day to suit conditions and the group's interests and abilities. If their instructions are followed, kayaking Abel Tasman is safe and fun.
Beaches, Bays & Seals Day Trip
Boat cruise from Kaiteriteri to Torrent Bay for pre-departure safety and technique instructions. Paddle the coves and headlands of the granite coast followed by lunch at a sheltered cove (lunch inclusive in this trip). Swim, relax or explore before return journey, visiting Seal Colony at Pinnacle Island if conditions allow. Freshen up at Torrent Bay Lodge before return boat to Kaiteriteri.
Kayak, Seals and Walk Day Trip
Meet at Kaiteriteri for pre-departure safety and paddling technique instructions. Paddle north along the picturesque Kaiteriteri coastline, including the famous "Split Apple Rock". A brief stop at a beach before heading back to Kaiteriteri to catch the water taxi to Onetahuti, visiting Tonga Island Seal Colony on the way. A scenic 1 1/2 hour walk on the Abel Tasman Walking Track to Bark Bay where the water taxi will pick you up and return your to Kaiteriteri.

Meet at Kaiteriteri for pre-departure safety and paddling technique instructions. Paddle north along the picturesque Kaiteriteri coastline, including the famous "Split Apple Rock". A brief stop at a beach before heading back to Kaiteriteri to catch the water taxi to Anchorage Bay. Spend an hour either relaxing at Anchorage Bay or explore a portion of the Abel Tasman Walking Track before your picks you up and returns you to Kaiteriteri.
Split Apple Paddle Half Day Morning Trip
Meet at Kaiteriteri for pre-departure safety and paddling technique instructions. Paddle north along the picturesque Kaiteriteri coastline, including the famous "Split Apple Rock". Pause at a sheltered cove for a break before returning to Kaiteriteri.

them), swimsuit, change of clothes, walking shoes.
