Upon arrival you will be fitted with your bikes, briefed on your tour then start your cycling adventure to Lauder. From Clyde you can cycle past vineyards and over an old wooden trestle bridge on the ride to Alexandra. For the more adventurous, there is the option of riding on the Clutha River Centennial Track to Alexandra which adds another 8km to your cycle ride. Lunch options are available to purchase at Alexandra, Chatto Creek or Omakau.

Cycle from Oturehua to Wedderburn and then onto your accommodation at Ranfurly. Day 3 - Ranfurly to Middlemarch - Distance: 59kms - Meals: Breakfast

From Ranfurly make your way to Waipiata where you can have morning tea at the local Tavern. The days highlight must be the lovely trail section between Daisybank and Hyde alongside the Taieri River which snakes around the Rock and Pillar Range, crossing the Capburn Bridge, the Price’s Creek Viaduct which is 32m high and the last tunnel which is 152m long to arrive at Hyde Hotel, where you can have lunch. After lunch travel from Hyde into the wide open spaces of the Strath Taieri plain passing the site of the Hyde Rail disaster where 21 lives were lost in 1943. Continue to the end of the trail at Middlemarch. There are no opportunities to purchase food between Hyde and Middlemarch so suggest you take something with you from Hyde. Upon arrival at our depot in Middlemarch you can drop off your bikes and will be able to access showers (charges applies). We will then transfer you to Pukerangi to connect with the Taieri Gorge Tourist Train for a remarkable 2hr train experience through the Taieri Gorge onto Dunedin.
