Kamahi Cottage is a boutique country cottage near the world famous Waitomo Glowworm Caves.

It offers luxury country Bed & Breakfast accommodation on the edge of a lovely landscaped garden. It’s an easy 30 minute drive to Waitomo and just 15 minutes to Otorohanga township. 

Set in beautiful farm land in the central North Island of New Zealand, Kamahi Cottage offers boutique self-contained accommodation in a tranquil, private and intimate setting. Your comfort and well-being are our main concern.

The hand-crafted, purpose built cottage has stunning panoramic views over lush farmland and extinct volcanoes and is located on a typical New Zealand sheep and beef farm. 

Tastefully designed and decorated with numerous complimentary touches Kamahi Cottage is ideal as a romantic retreat or a place to unwind. It’s a charming stress-free haven where you can relax on the veranda in hammock chairs, take an invigorating walk over the farm or a farm tour in the comfort of our own 4 Wheel Drive vehicle. 

Your stay includes a gourmet breakfast served in our home or brought to you in the cottage, if you prefer. Delicious home-cooked meals with fresh seasonal produce and creative choices are also offered by prior arrangement. If you prefer total independence the cottage kitchenette is fully equipped for self-catering.
