Westwood
Country House accommodation near the Wairarapa town of
Greytown. A wonderful country experience, just a short stroll
away from the cafes and shops of Greytown. You enter down a
winding drive past a huge formal Italian-inspired herb garden
and there it is. This beautiful homestead is set amongst
landscaped gardens, graced by mature trees and a stunning
mountain vista. You are encouraged to feel at home and enjoy
the experience of Westwood.
Set on nine
acres of land, Westwood is all about peace and serenity. The
grounds are beautiful with formal gardens, mature trees
(including an English oak reputed to be the third oldest in
NZ), a pond and stream, paddocks grazed by black-faced
sheep.... Bring your gumboots, you'll love it.
The living
areas at Westwood are completely magnetic, the main room is
large, luxurious and has an enormous fireplace.
The heated
in-ground swimming pool is a most welcome feature on a hot
summers day.
Westwood can
sleep seven people in all, it has three (superking/twin)
bedrooms, and one single. Three with ensuites, one with
private bathroom.
The Maple room:
Huge bed, lots of light, dressing room, big verandah, comfy
window seat, large ensuite and a dressing room containing a
bar fridge and tea and coffee making facilities.
The Redwood
room:
Great big bed, antique writing table, cosy small deck, window
seat . It also features a large dressing room complete with
tea and coffee making facilities and a bar fridge. Plus, a big
ensuite with a bath you could swim laps in!
The Birchwood
room:
Another monster bed, ensuite bathroom, verandah, big skylight,
bar fridge, tea/coffee making facilities and a view to die
for.
The White room:
A small single bedded room big on comfort, views to beautiful
gardens, you'll be cosy in here!
