Built around one of the world’s most beautiful harbours the city is full of surprises, action and adventure, historic, stylish shopping and fine dining. Then off to the Hunter Valley to sample some of the fine wines produced by over 120 wineries before heading up into the stunning rugged scenery of the Blue Mountains, hike, sightsee, photograph picture postcard locations and stroll boutiques and galleries in historic villages. Itinerary Details:

Day1 - Arrive Sydney
Sydney, style atmosphere and lots of fun! Built around one of the world’s most beautiful harbours the city is full of surprises, standing at Circular Quay, there’s the iconic Sydney Harbour Bridge on your left, the Opera House on your right and the glorious harbour stretching in all directions. Looking for action, want to discover cultural heritage or architecture Sydney offers it all. Wander through the historic Rocks area or head to Darling Harbour, with its great waterfront bars, restaurants, stylish shops and regular free open-air concerts and events.

Day 2 - Full day Sydney
The heart of Sydney is its harbour and what better way to experience this fabulous environment than by sailboat. Cruise with Harbourdays Sailing at a relaxed pace under the harbour Bridge, past the Opera House and Fort Denison before crossing the Harbour Heads to historic Spring Cove for lunch. Trip runs from 10.00am to 3.00pm so time left at days end to enjoy a stroll and select one of Sydney's fine restaurants for this evening.

Day 3 - Full day Sydney
Take a tour behind the scenes with a breakfast tour of the Sydney Opera House.  A walk in the Rocks area leads you to many of the old port warehouses that now house galleries and trendy shops. Visit Darling Harbour the location of to the Maritime and Powerhouse Museums as well as a number of waterfront shopping complexes, restaurants and cafes. For the adventurous and those with a head for heights join the Sydney Bridge Climb.
Day 4 - Sydney to Hunter Valley
With more than 120 wineries, the Hunter Valley produces some terrific wines, loved at home and abroad, including the crisp Hunter Semillon and the ripe Hunter Shiraz. Complement the wine with superb cuisine and stylish boutique accommodation. Wine and food buffs can join a winery tour to sample some of the region’s gourmet delights. Others may prefer to indulge in some serious pampering at a day spa or teeing off from one of the region’s championship golf courses.
Day 5 - Full day Hunter Valley
Wine tasting and sampling other local produce such as cheeses and olives can be combined with touring the historic towns and villages of the region including Maitland and nearby Cessnock. The Maitland High Street has a fine collection of original buildings and is classified by the National Trust, and the town has a number of art galleries, antique and craft shops.
Day 6 - Hunter Valley to Blue Mountains
A day of contrasts from the gentle landscapes of the Hunter Valley to the deep gorges and rugged geology of the Blue Mountains, enjoy great views to the west of the Yengo and Wollemi National Parks and the Great Dividing Range. The grand scale of the Blue Mountain vistas will take your breath away, as you find yourself perched on the edge of the escarpment looking across the vast canyon. Relax after today's journey by just soaking up the fantastic views.
Day 7- Full day Blue Mountains
The many scenic viewpoints around the escarpment are a photographers dream with endless 'picture postcard' scenes.  The numerous walking tracks help you discover the depths and special places within this rugged landscape, for a more leisurely experience take the  cable car from Katoomba - the steepest cable car in Australia! Whilst in Katoomba enjoy the many galleries and visitor facilities available there. This area, with its cooler summer temperatures and mountain air, has been a rejuvenating spa region for visitors from Sydney for over 100 years. The region also features a number of gardens to visit plus the chance to meet some local wildlife. A string of townships form a vibrant cultural community where artists, musicians and writers flourish.
