Alpine Pacific Triangle
 The
property is situated on the edge of Canterbury's “Alpine
Pacific Triangle”, one of the world’s great scenic
drives, and close to “Inland Scenic Route 72” in Canterbury.
Directions to Claremont lodge accommodation by road from Christchurch
- Take State Highway 1 north to Amberley, in Canterbury.
- From Amberley town centre, take Douglas Road west for 5km.
- Take the right fork into Mt Brown Road.
- Travel 5km, veer left into Ram Paddock Road.
- Travel 8.28km.
- Turn into the entrance to Claremont Country Estate and Lodge
on the right.
Directions to Claremont lodge accommodation by road from Kaikoura,
Canterbury
- Take State Highway 1 south towards Christchurch.
- Look for the Junction with Route 7 to Hanmer Springs and soon
after that take Georges Rd to west. This is directly opposite
the landmark Canterbury House winery set beside State Highway
1 on the left hand side, a short distance after crossing the Waipara
river.
- Follow Georges Rd onto Ram Paddock Rd.
- A total of 12.1km from the Sate Highway, turn into the entrance
to Claremont Country Estate and Lodge on the right.
Christchurch Airport or City Limousine pick up service
If you do not have transport, we can arrange a limousine service
for pick up and return from the airport or city. Alternatively,
there are bus and train services to Amberley or Waipara.
Directions by private light aircraft
Claremont Country Estate and Lodge has a 500m private grass airstrip.
If you wish to come by private light aircraft, please call first
for map reference, airfield elevation and joining procedure.
Helicopter transfer service and scenic flights
If you would like the convenience of a brisk transfer by helicopter,
we will arrange this on your behalf. Similarly, helicopter scenic
flights can be arranged with a pick up from Claremont Country
Estate and Lodge.
