Huka Lodge
Huka Lodge was founded in the 1920s, this iconic luxury lodge is
consistently ranked amongst the best in the world.
Offering a location of matchless beauty, Huka Lodge nestles amongst
17- acres of manicured grounds. With just 20 Lodge Rooms and the
Huka Lodge Owner’s Cottage all within gaze of the Waikato River’s
deep turquoise and hypnotic water, guests leave the real world
behind.
 At Huka
Lodge every last detail for guest comfort has been considered and
service is both solicitous and seamless - designed to anticipate.
Guests venture forth from Huka Lodge, having breakfasted well, to
enjoy a great variety of pursuits – golf, spa treatments, horse
riding, trout fishing, helicopter sightseeing, kayaking and tours to
nearby Hawke’s Bay or volcanic White Island.
Cuisine continues to define the
legendary hospitality of Huka Lodge with the superb five-course
dinner often being the end to a perfect day.
Come the evening, guests at Huka
lodge draw together for pre-dinner drinks and to share stories of
their day’s exploits. The Huka Lodge dining venues are truly sublime
and deliberately romantic, offering both indoor and outdoor
opportunity for seclusion and ambience.
 The
Lodge Room at Huka Lodge is a beautifully appointed room with
panoramic views of the Waikato River and toward Huka Falls, the
Lodge Room is a major focus. Guests are drawn to the magnificent
fire, comfortable seating and its rich warm ambience.
The Lodge Room is used by guests frequently during the day and the
scene for the cocktail hour each evening.
The terraces at Huka Lodge provide
quiet spots to sit in the sun and relax during the day. It is always
tempting to slip away to the Library with a book - this room can
also be used for private dining in the evening. |

food and publishes its own cook books.
The Huka Lodge dining room is
spacious in its proportions and elegant in design. A place where
guests come together for good food and fine wine punctuated with
easy laughter and conversation.

across from the main Lodge building, under a knoll and down a short
flight of steps is the Huka Lodge wine cellar. With vaulted ceilings
and four side chambers, it has an ambience all of its own. Cellaring
for thousands of bottles of New Zealand and the world's finest wines
provides a remarkable backdrop to this dining space. |
Huka Lodge country-style breakfasts are legendary and the perfect
start of an active day. Lunch may be enjoyed at Huka Lodge, or
equally from a hamper made up for you, to take on your excursion.
Breakfast, cocktail hour and a five-course dinner are included in
the daily tariff at Huka Lodge. Special dietary requirements need to

Situated in seven hectares of park-like
grounds Huka Lodge has only 20 guest suites all just 20 metres from
the river amongst mature trees. The Huka Lodge suites are very
secluded, offering every comfort - from mini-bar to walk-in dressing
room.
The Huka Lodge suites are spacious,
light and very peaceful with slatted wooden, outdoor terraces. The
bathrooms all have under-floor heating. A sunken bath is
complemented by a separate shower and double hand basins.

| The Owner’s Cottage at Huka
lodge
The ultimate Huka Lodge experience –
offering the best of worlds, total independence and privacy as well
as all of Huka Lodge’s amenities. Ideal for a private party of
friends or for members of a family, the Cottage is one of the
world’s most exclusive private hideaways.
A position within the grounds of Huka Lodge, on an elevated
promontory commands spectacular views downstream to the mighty Huka
Falls, enhanced by large outdoor decks and a cantilevered infinity
pool.
The Owners Cottage at Huka Lodge has
four spacious guest suites, each with a fireplace and en suite
bathroom and a dressing room, all are anchored by living and dining
room, kitchen and den. Butler service and a personal chef are
available.
