Accommodation
A scene at once peaceful, inspiring and revitalising.

Amongst the small hamlet of buildings quiet sanctuaries provide private space to reflect upon the days activities or ponder adventures to be pursued.

Guest suites surrounding a courtyard are separate from the main lodge which houses the lounge, dining room, breakfast conservatory and library. Exclusively furnished with natural materials, fine textiles, artworks, and furniture handcrafted by New Zealanders, Punatapu has style, strength of character and a special relationship with the environment.

Guest Suites
Private suites, studios and a family wing strive to create a second home for your alpine retreat.

Punatapu Suite: Wheelchair access, super king/twin beds, open fire and soft seating area. Ensuite bathroom with glass ceiling. Sauna and shower room. Private courtyard/herb garden.

Cove Room: Upstairs room with verandah, king/twin beds, ensuite bathroom. Lovely views over mountains and native beech forest.

These two rooms create a pair, referred to as the Cove Wing, which are adjacent to the swimming pool and spa. They are self contained but work well for two couples travelling together. The Punatapu Suite is downstairs and the Cove Room is accessed by an external staircase.

Stable: Queen bed, ensuite bathroom upstairs, lovely outlook towards the lake. Private walled courtyard.

Barn Studio: Staircase access to super king or twin beds. Downstairs soft seating, gas fire, kitchenette, unique bath and shower ensuites.

The above two rooms, in a converted barn, are adjacent but not interconnecting and are well suited to parties travelling together.

Family Suite: Three separate bedrooms, double and twin room upstairs, king room with one large ensuite downstairs, soft seating area, open fire and games room.

Internet, telephone access, CD stereo systems, tv, video, hairdryers, quality cotton linen, bathrobes, fridges stocked with complimentary soft drinks, iced water, fruit and flowers are standard in every suite.
