Punatapu is a private villa for exclusive luxury
vacations in Queenstown, New Zealand. Nestled in the
heart of a pristine alpine landscape Punatapu is
ideally located just fifteen minutes from
Queenstown's town centre. With the ambiance of a
private estate, Punatapu's five buildings and
grounds form the ultimate private, secluded escape
in New Zealand.
With only four guest suites, seven bedrooms in total
– each lavish, and completely private – Punatapu is
available for exclusive use by individuals seeking
absolute peace and security in a tranquil
environment; small groups of friends or families
looking for a New Zealand villa rental with all the
services of a five star hotel; or couples seeking a
romantic escape. Personal attention to guests' every
need is paramount to the service provided by our
friendly staff which includes an executive
housekeeper and personal chef.
Home to periodic artists in residence, every room at
Punatapu is a testament to our passion for the arts
and cultural heritage of New Zealand. Contemporary
Maori art graces many of our spaces.
Punatapu has a special focus on quality cuisine.
Most guests prefer to eat in, as a stay at Punatapu
includes the services of an international class
personal chef who sets the menu daily around
seasonal foods and guests' desires. Choose between
eating outside on our tranquil patio by the pool, in
the beautiful open-air summer kitchen, or in the
formal dining room inside the main lodge.
The villa is also available for private estate
weddings, New Zealand honeymoons, or executive
retreats.
Situated in pristine natural alpine landscape on the
Glenorchy Road, twelve minutes drive from central
Queenstown, and designed by an acclaimed New Zealand
architect, Punatapu is a very private facility of
only four guest suites. Punatapu is the perfect
place for time out, a special event or romantic
occasion.
A scene at once peaceful, inspiring and
revitalising.
Amongst the small hamlet of buildings quiet
sanctuaries provide private space to reflect upon
the days activities or ponder adventures to be
pursued. Punatapu will be your home...we will care
for you in a warm and personal way. We delight in
doing the little things well and pride ourselves in
providing simple elegance with every detail of your
visit.
Guest suites surrounding a courtyard are separate
from the outdoor kitchen whareumu and the main lodge
which houses the lounge, dining room, breakfast
conservatory and library. Exclusively furnished with
natural materials, fine textiles, artworks, and
furniture handcrafted by New Zealanders, Punatapu
has style, strength of character and a special
relationship with the environment.
