Oscar Wilde once declared, "Nothing succeeds like excess," and the famous
aesthete may well have had the cuisine at Timara Lodge in mind when he said it. For an
excess of flavour and an excess of freshness is what you will be treated to.
The style is traditional French or Italian, although
you may suggest almost anything you wish in advance. Then there are the internationally
renowned Marlborough wines. Timara keeps an extensive cellar of the very best local
produce vintages and specializes in the Spy Valley wine range.
Seafood is abundant at Timara: mussels, lobster,
scallops, oysters, salmon and white fish from the Marlborough Sounds. New Zealand lamb,
beef, game and seasonal produce are selected fresh for the daily menu together with our
own garden fresh herbs. Fresh fruit and Jeremy's special dessert treats are often a
favourite with guests.
Jeremy is happy to cater to any specific dietary
requirements as notified. |
