Whitewater rafting is the last extreme experience in the adventure capital of New Zealand. You will embark on a man V's nature battle of willpower in one of the most scenic environments in the world. Raft where the jetboats fear to go and prepare to take a rapid in the face as you hold on during this four hour paddle experience.

Queenstown is blessed with more than one fabulous river suitable for an awesome rafting experience, the rugged terrain is stunningly beautiful and the wild waters make for an exciting and memorable experience. Choose between the Shotover and Kawarau, with the latter being a perfect introduction for first time rafters.

Guides are fully licenced and are carefully chosen on the basis of their skill and experience, their ability to make sound decisions and their ability to communicate and identify with clients.

Kawarau River White Water Rafting

Here is your chance to pair two of Queenstown’s most iconic experiences. Packing in those famous 360 spins and dramatic canyon walls as you discover the Kawarau River and its pristine wilderness. The Go Orange Jet Boat will race down the river to your next mode of transport. Jump straight into a raft with the team to complete the last section of river, where the Jet Boats fear to go. Spend your afternoon paddling through the historic Kawarau gorge, famous for its gold mining, wineries and it’s stint in The Lord of the Rings franchise.

Paddle and swim your way through grade 2-3 whitewater rapids with a brand-new cliff jumping section added for the adventure junkies. Complete your journey by tackling the famous 400m Dog Leg rapid – the longest commercially rafted rapid in New Zealand. Then head back to Rafting Base for a hot shower.

Your Shotover River Whitewater rafting trip starts with an unforgettable coach trip through Skippers Canyon, famous for it's exciting cliff edges, enough to get your adrenaline pumping before we hit the water.

Experience one of the most scenic environments in the world. The rapids can change on a daily basis, but be assured our guides are expertly trained and have a keen sense of adventure. They will guide you through canyons, navigate the rapids and the famous 170m Oxenbridge tunnel to finish.
